  1. Hey i was just wonderingif someone could help me capture my dvd from my standalone dvd player. I tried using ulead media studio but the video was very choppy maybe i'm doing something wrong can someone help me out? thanks

  3. The reason is called "macrovision",it's to prevent people from making copies from dvd>vcr or dvd>capture card.Read "DVD Hacks"

    What region setting do i use to get rid of the macrovision? Also it said the guy was not sure how many times it would work will this damage my dvd player?

  5. Do you have a dvd rom in your computer. If so do a rip of the DVD, this way gets around macrovision and you will get better quality VCD's.

  6. no i dont i just wanna know what regional setting i gotta change it to and if i do does it damage my dvd player cause the hack said he didnt know how many times it would work

  7. i read that macrovision jsut causes the gain to change so it gets light and dark but my problem is that frames are missing is this macrovision? if not what is it?

    Ulead media studio,your capture device and motherboard.

    Regional Settings on DVD players have bugger all to do with Macrovision.

    Whilst Macrovision can produce a number of unwanted artifacts, I haven't ever seen it produce "jerky" video. This symptom is far more likely to be caused by a misconfiguration in your capture card or capture settings.

    Try using VirtualDub or AVI_IO for capturing and follow this guide.
