  1. CAN anyone tell, if its posible to add a subtitles to an mpg archive without reencoding the file? (I think the Virtual Dub frame-server & TMPGenc mode for add the subtitles requires to reencode the file, sure?)
    Thnx a lot.

    hardencoded subs require reencoding.
SVCD (selectable) subs are added in a different way.

If you are going to convert to SVCD and your player support SVCD subtitles, you don't need to reencode.

  5. THE WAY I USE IS THE FOLLOWING (SORRY MY ENG).

USE DVD2AVI AND SAVE A PROJECT NOT AN AVI.
THEN USE VFAPIConv-1.04-EN.ZIP AND ENCODE THE PROJECT TO A FAKE AVI. THEN LOAD THE AVI FROM VIRTUAL DUB, ADD FILTER SUBTITLE, SERVE TO TMPEGNC, AND THEN THIS WILL BE THE FIRST ENCODE!!!!!
IT WILL TAKE 7 HOURS IN MY 1.2 ATHLON THUNDERBIRD

WITH NOISE FILTERS AND SUBTITLE FILTER, WITH 24 HOURS OF ENCODE AND A LOT OF PATIENCE, YOUR VCD WILL LOOK THE BEST POSIBLE WAY...WELL, IT WORKS FOR ME.!!!!

    I HOPE HELPED YOU!!!
