  1. Hi,

I would like advise on a wedding project I am trying. I have about 190 JPG images taken with a Canon S30 in 1600x1200. I am using Roxio VideoPack 5 to create a slideshow with transitions and with background music and saving this in MPEG-2 NTSC format.

Then I use Ulead MediaStudio Pro 6 (video editor 6) to take the MPEG-2 scene and putting them into sequence with an intro MPEG-2 and a menu base with background music.

My problem is when i save this project in VCD format and burn it to CDR, the quality of the JPG images is not very good.

I'm I using the rong software to encode the images and music to MPEG-2 and/or should I do everything in AVI than encode to MPEG-2 with another software?

I have created 7 coasters now and getting really anoided of the pour quality.

Can some one tell me what i'm doing rong and/or what tools I should use in order for my JPG photos to be of a good quality.

I saw something in Ulead Video Pack that talks about video bit rate and I have it setup to 1x. Is putting it in 2x or 4x going to be better?

    Regards,

  2. Sorry, I haven't used Roxio VideoPack 5 before, but I had similar results when I tried to make a slideshow in nero. The image quality was horrible, then I tried Ulead DVD picture show and it looked much better. I think it uses the still image feature in VCD 2.0 to save the images so its a full 720x480, I dunno what nero does, but it doesn't look quite as good. Anyway, bottom line: Try Ulead DVD picture show. They have a trial version on their website.

I would use cdr-rw disc for testing.

I dont much about roxio video pack5, wherther it allows you to save AVI format. I would save the movie in AVI format, divx5 codec, and use dvd2svcd to convert it to mpeg2.
