  1. I recently bought a avertv studio card to play round with some video capturing/recording. but i have have a couple of problems.

I originally tried VirtualDub, and had difficulty with getting it to capture at higher then 320x240 res, i installed the wrapper, and tried it in preview mode but it still won't accept a higher resolution.

I then tried using either iuVCR or PowerVCR II and both program crash upon running.

I have a asus a7m266-d system with dual processors and was wondering if anybody has successfuuly run either of these programs on a dual amd system as somebody on the 2cpu.com forums had a similar problem to mine.

recording at 320x240 works fine in virtualdub.

also, the vcr program that came with the avertv studio card crashes when run as well.

    any help is appreciated.

  2. Hey, I got the same setup as you except my capture card is an ATI AIW. I can capture with all resolutions with VirtualDub. However, I have the same problems with the Cyberlink software. It crashes right after start. I'm curious if others have the same issue. Hope this helps.

  3. No problems with dual cpus. I have 2*PIII, AIW Radeon. Vdub works. Check drivers and similar stuff. I have used iuvcr wth success but prefer vdub. Powervcr did not crsh but was not very good.

  4. baccus:

I have the AverTV Stereo card. I can get it to do 704x240 resolution using the VirtualDub custom format option. I am currently trying to get some other BT878 drivers to work (they are supposed to give free range for size and capture frame rate). If I have success I will be sure to post back here with a guide.
