I always thought that dvdplusrw.org offered shady information (always slanted to the DVD+R/W side on every issue and is probably in the back pocket of Phillips). But, this has reached an all time low. The truth has been exposed about dvdplusrw.org as pointed out here--
http://www.dv-info.net/cgi-bin/ib/ikonboard.cgi?s=3ce677de0a52ffff;act=ST;f=3;t=39
After seeing this, I, again, caution everyone looking at dvdplusrw.org not to take all their "facts" presented at face value (as it is pure bias hype). Be sure to do your own independent research on all formats and buy the drive that is right for you.

Why would you expect any rationality from people who buy a format that isn't supported by the DVD forum, who sets the standards for DVD media?

Looks like some dvdplusrw members are starting to revolt

It's gotta sting and I actually feel bad for some of those early +RW adopters in some-sort of weird way. First, deceived by HP, Phillips, and Ricoh on those first DVD+RW drives not burning to DVD+R. And now finding out that the website you check and support, has been dishonest and using you to sell your own personal information just to earn a buck.

Well, you can very clearly see I am the same person who posts under the Kenny Shin account in DVDplusRW.org Forum.

It's all clear now.
Westblock has created some user accounts on my forum using the names "Jorg Admin-" and "Moderator", and he has been sending a terribly modified version of the message that I sent him to other users of this board.
My user name is "Jorg - Admin". All other messages that you may receive are NOT from me.
I owe a sincere appology to Brightsword for thinking he was the same person as Westblock.
It's very likely that more people have received a message from "Moderator" or "Jorg Admin-". Would you please report this to me via e-mail?
Again: I have nothing to do with them, and appologize for the inconvenience this is causing.
All in all, from my 7 years experience on the Internet, this is an all-time low.
Please, let's maintain some level of quality on this board, and talk DVD recording again very quickly. Do not let people whose only purpose is to offend others (and who obviously have a bit too much spare time or no life besides the Internet) win!

DVDplusRW.org is primarily only for DVD+RW discussions though. I have posted a lot of news and information regarding DVD-RAM, DVD-R/-RW, CD-R/-RW, and HDD technologies and products as well since I joined the forum in March, 2002. -
