I'm a total newbie here so please bear with me. I have a movie in a DAT file that plays really well in Windows Media Player. The problem is that the audio only comes out of the left channel. What does come out is in mono so I'm not missing any of the sounds. I just want to get it to play out of both channels. Help me Obi-Wan, you're my only hope!

thats a bad rip
you can correct it - but as a newbie it might not be the easiest thing for you to do -- I know there is already a few posts in this forum about how to fix it (just serach for them)
you have to de-multiplex the file - edit the audio then re-encode the audio and multiplex it .... as I said it's not easy
look for the previous postsyour pal,
