  1. i set up an svcd template in TV capture program that comes with the
ATI Radeon. i was able to capture in 2.51 Mbps SVCD 480x480 mpeg2.
i burned it and it was great. but all of the sudden, whenever i capture
with my custom setting, i'm unable to play any mpeg2 i record. the
captured file using the good quality, vcd, etc. that comes with the
TV capture program plays fine - it's only when i use my custom svcd
template. it worked before but not now. PLEASE HELP!!!

    THANKS in advance.

  2. Where are you trying to play the SVCD's ? you have to use either the ATI File Viewer, DVD software or install an MPEG-2 codec to view them in MS Media Player. --- that is if I understand your question correctly.

SVCD's are MPEG-2 and are different than VCD's which are MPEG-1 and will play very easily in most any software player.

The VCD preset in MMC is actually lower than what the VCD standard is - you can grab my MMC tool from the tools section - it has some good presets in it - that you might find helpful
