Try a simple demux and mux on each file first, using TMPGenc's mpeg tools.
-
Files>>Mpeg tools>>simple demultiplex. Then File>>Mpeg tools>>multiplex (but choose mpeg-2 SVCD), using the 2 files you demuxed. We are talking about producing 3 x SVCD discs, right?
-
3 cd's yes. I did that and it gives a buffer underflow what did i wrong or is it something else
-
First of all, how far did you get with the demux before the error occurred? Did you get much smaller demuxed files produced? Do you get the same for all 3 discs? It's quite possible there are errors in the files as you got them. You could try another prog to demux, which is a longshot. or you could do what i did ( see the thread "Converting SVCD to VCD".

what i did is this simple de-multiplex by input avseq02.mpg by video and audio the same than run. After this i did simple multiplex type mpeg2 super videocd with the files that i created +/- 250kb video input m2v and audio mp2 and the output as the file avseq02.mpeg i did the same with the other files and they did al the same files 250kb and the buffer underflow after 3 seconds

mmmh! I don't think I've ever had a buffer overflow when multiplexing! Perhaps someone else can help out here? When you get mpg problems, it often helps to do a mux and remux. Have you tried altering any of the environmental settings in TMPGenc? Perhaps it might be an idea to see if you get the same error message on someone else's PC?

tnx banjazzer i shall take a look at someone else computer if any reads this post and know what to do post a reply tnx

If you don't get a reply here, there's a TMPGenc forum at www.doom9.net They might know what the error message is. Good luck! 8)

I have successfully done all 3 discs for Spiderman and they work.
You need the following:
DVD2AVI, Tmpgenc, VFAPI Plugin
Step 1 - Launch DVD2AVI. Select "File" and "Open". View all files if Spiderman is an MPG. It will produce a list of files. (Only do 1 at a time!!). Select "Audio" and "Track1". Select "File" and "Save Project". This will not convert but will create a d2v and mpa file for next step.
Step 2 - Launch TMPGenc. Cancel wizard!!! Select video source and open d2v file. Select audio and choose mpa file. Select load and choose "VideoCD (PAL)". Select settings and choose "High quality" for great quality. (You will not regret it, but it is time consuming).
Hit encode.
Do one file at a time because otherwise it will just make one file and will knock all the sound out of sync.
This works and looks great!!!! :P :P :P -
As the source is PAL if you select NTSC it will give wrong aspect ratio and the framerate will be wrong, making the movie jerky. The aspect ratio is already wrong - this could make it worse. The aspect ratio you can correct, the jerkiness may or may not be acceptable to you.
-
You can choose any as it will encode to your preference. My files, by default were ntsc and I chose PAL. No jerkiness because I chose the high quality slow mode.
-
Well, I suppose I could be wrong,
but what you have just said seems like nonsense to me. The motion search precision setting has nothing to do with changing between different frame-rates. If you use a PAL source with an NTSC template you will get some jerkiness. Whether you notice it or not is another matter. PAL to NTSC(film) is not too bad. PAL to NTSC is much more noticeable. In one second you start off with 25 frames and you create almost 30. You can't get frames from nowhere. The 30 are comprised of the original 25, with some duplication. You don't get 30 distinct frames without going back to the source of the original film. Hence the jerkiness. If you are unconvinced, step through a converted movie frame by frame! The only alternative to this would be for frames to be grouped 30 at a time from the original source, which would then be smooth, but speeded up. I don't think this is the way that TMPGenc works! A one hour movie would still be one hour after running it through a change of template.
If we are talking about the Centropy release, the aspect ratio also was already screwed. Going from PAL to NTSC will make it worse, unless you do some drastic correction. But if you are happy with this, fine. 8) -
I used DVD2avi and loaded all the 3 videos. Then saved the project which created a .d2v file and mpa file for the sound. Loaded the .d2v file into TMPGenc and the mpa for the audio. Loaded the ntsc vcd template and made changes. First set to high quality. Second (and I did both sizes to see what was better) I choose to under advanced tab to center (custom size ) the video arrange method. I set it to 304x240 also 272x208. Then set the source range for two vcd's and did a batch encode. Burned and perfect picture and no sync problems... By centering this way the aspect ratio was corrected, also making the picture smaller(272x208) the quality was better and more colorful. Give it a try, worked great...
