  1. I made a vcd of a divx file I have using tmpgenc and sevcd, and it worked fine. I burned it to a cd and that's when the trouble started. First the mpeg file was 680mb, but it took 77:47 on a cd, so it would not fit on a 74min cd, and I specifically made it small to fit. Is this normal to have so much "extra" space used up?
    Ok on to problem 2...
I got some 700mb/80min cds and burned it. When I try to play it in WinDVD on the computer I made it with, it will not work. The time displayed is 15:47:24 and it sits there at the end. The only way I can get it to work on this computer is to open the dat file in wmp or windvd, but that's more of a hassle than I want each time. I tried the vcd in my second computer, and it worked perfectly?! Now I am confused...anyone know what might be causing this? The .dat file plays fine on all computers, but on my main, it just won't work playing as a VCD in WinDVD.
    Here is my computer info:

Main Comp: (used for creation and won't play)
    Iwill xp333-r
    Athlon xp 1900+
    512mb ddr ram
    geforce2 ultra
    sblive 5.1
    80gb WD hd
    20x10 acer cd writer
    52x cd drive
    win2k
    WinDVD 3.1

Second comp: (VCD works in this one)
    Abit be6-2
    p3 700
    tnt2 ultra
    128mb ram
    WinXP
Way old Hitachi DVD drive 2x
    WinDVD 3.1

If anyone has any ideas or if you need further info to help, please post, I'd really appreciate it. This is driving me nuts.

  2. I tried reinstalling winDVD and it's still a no-go...I also tried another VCD (star wars) and it gave me the same problem with the same time displayed

  3. I played the vcd in my apex 1500 and it works, but it jerks every 4-5 seconds or so...the audio skips and the video jerks...
