i'm trying to encode my .avi copy of episode 2 onto a vcd. However, the specs for this movie are 352x176, and 20,000 fps. This translates into a decent but very small screen when watching the movie. I have made many vcds, but have always stuck to the tried tested and true easy methods to get a simple result. However, I would really like to get this in good quality. What is the best way to increase the clarity of the picture for use in a standalone dvd player. I usually use, virtualdub, Tmpgenc, and vcdeasy as my main programs to create. Any sound advice? If so, any specifics on how to obtain this?

Well you have a lower than standard (for vcd) resolution and framerate, so creating a good quality VCD is not really possible. Basically you dont have the quality there to start with. Crap in = Crap out.
PS I assume the framerate is 20fps and not 20 thousand fps
