Nero Problems

I recently purchased a Lite-on 40x12x48 burner, which came with Nero. For the most part I haven’t had any problems. There are two things that are happening to me and they both involve burning VCD’s. The first problem is after I burn a VCD, I go to test it on my standalone DVD player and it plays in slow motion but plays fine on the computer. The other problem is after burning, neither the computer or DVD player recognize the disk.
This has happened burning from both BIN/CUE and MPG formats. I have successfully burned many VCD’s, but there are a few that are giving me problems. I know there’s no problem with the files themselves. I also upgraded to the newest version of Nero (5.5.8.2). ANY help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you are not using cheap media?
or if that's not the case what program are you creating the mpg's with?
because vcd compliant files i create with some capture programs like powervcr 2 won't work with my wharfedale 750, whereas other files i create with other programs work fine.
Try creating your mpg's with a different program.
