Ok I am new at this... I downloaded movies files as avi. or mpeg. Both as a lot of stattic sound...it's unwatchable I can hear much and not well because of that static. When I play them on my computer the sounds is ok and so seems to be the picture. But I burn them using Nero and then I try to play on my dvd player at home and there goes the static biggy time...and often then image goes too slow or fast and so it the sound sinc....but it's fine on my computer why and how can I fix this is it the way I burn? is there something I should change to improve the sound? is use tempeng to encode and before taht i use virtual dub for a wav. then i encode with environmental setting toolame on.....I really do not know what is my proble but I need to fix that I havent been able to enjoy any of my downloads!
Thanks in advance

crap in=crap out...if the source you have has problems to being with, it's very hard to remove them

Actually I understand that an mpeg or any other files that arent good to start with will stay at that "quality". My problem is I have movies who sounds fine and play fine on my computer but after I burn them with nero then I have quality sound problem and image too slow or too fast or sinch problems...Since I want to watch those as a vcd on my dvd player at home then what am i doing wrong.... WHy is it fine on my computer and so bad after I burned it ??? Doo I need to changes some settings with nero....is it my dvd player (which accepts cd-r cdrw mp3 ect) or what? I just cant watch those movies at home the static is so bad

look to your left under HowTo->Convert and you will learn a great deal. Your question is otherwise too vague to give a definate answer.
I also suggest you read the sections under WHATIS on your left, preferably 1st, so you have an idea about the format you are converting TO.
