I have monsters ball and after converting, the audio get progressively out of sync. I believe the audio is in ac3 format. When opening the file in vdub, it shows the audio as unknown (tag 2000). Vdub will not allow me to save the wav uncompressed because "the compressions don't match" or something. So I took the audio decompressor from avi2vcd, uncompressed the file, opened the uncompressed file with vdub and split of the audio with a direct copy. I then used this audio and the original avi video and converted with tmpg. What do I need to do differently to sync the audio throughout the movie?

Are you sure that the framerate of the avi matches the framerate in the TmpGenc template you chose. This is a common cause of gradual sync problems
