After opening a file in VD, I get a message "warning VD has reconstructed the index for this file, but you have not specified rekeying in the extended open options dialog. Seeking in the file may be slow". Any advice for a newbie to correct this.

Thanks evryone for your help. I tried Divfix and successfully stripped and rebuilded the index, but now I am running into a different problem. While trying to run Virtualdub I am getting a message "the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate & channel count of the input match those of the requested format"
Any advice for a newbie -
I guess I should also state that when I open the AVI file, there is no info next to the audio compression. I also have a fps of 14.985. Is it safe to assume that this file is bogus. This is the first time I am attempting this so any help is appreciated.
