  1. Lots of times when searching I'll see one .avi file or 2 mpg files like so:

    'Behind enemy lines.avi 768mb

    and I'll see

    Behind en.....CD1.mpg 370mb
    Behind en.....CD2.mpg 400mb

These are just made up examples, but which is better quality for viewing on Computer, and for TV?
I know that to watch on DVD they need to be converted to mpeg anyway, but is it better to get it as an avi instead of 2 mpg files that are roughly the same filesize as the .avi?

    Thanks for the input.

  2. I would go for the AVI so I can convert it to my liking.
Plus the AVI would probably have the best quality.

  4. I would go for the avi because as mpg that doesn't sound like the quality will be that good. Also make sure the avi says dvd rip and not cam or ts.AS avi that could be highly compressed in divx format and when converted might be double in size say around 1.5 in mpg

If you have anymore question post them and I'll help you also where did you get this file from.

    GOOD LUCK
