  1. Hi, ive got the problem that the rip (Like in the VCDHELPER manual )
    is vertically compressed, how must TMPGenc be configured to
    to correcct this and show it in the widescreen?

    or is there a possibility to configure the VCD so that the players will play the anamorph video the right way?

    if you are encoding a VCD from an anamorphic movie/dvd-rip (16:9, no letterboxing) for final display on a 4:3 NTSC TV, TMPGEnc settings should be:

    Advanced Tab
    - Source Aspect Ratio = 16:9 Display
    - Video Arrange Method = Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)

    Video Tab
    - Aspect Ratio = 4:3 525 line (NTSC)


    remember - getting the correct aspect ratio on playback depends on the source/input AND the output settings.
