    Hi

Can anyone help me out with this problem.

I have captured a dv file of about 4.5gb in size that using TMPGenc can convert to either VCD or SVCD however with 'ok' results. But......

I am trying to convert this file to DivX using Virtual Dub but unfortunately the latest version of V Dub cannot convert the audio - it will convert the video and encode that to Divx but the audio cannot be done. It complains of a type 1 dv file cannot extract the audio as it uses only 1 stream (?)

Now TMPGenc can do the job but not to DivX

    So

Is there a method to convert this dv file to DivX as I figure that will offer the best and least 'lossy' form of compression to store it onto a CDR.

I can output the file from my DV Camcorder to a VCR tape but would love to archive it to CDR in DivX format - WITH sound...!!!!

    Thankyou for any help
