  1. When I split a Divx file in half to make fit in SVCD format, how can I split the subs so they still sync with the movie ??

If you have a seperate subtitle file, again it depends on the format.
If the the subs are hardencoded to the DivX, just cut the video.

..for all the other ones: we are talking about this topic:

First convert to *.ssa. Then split the file with SubStationAlpha.
    or
Load the *.ssa into MaestroSBT, press "segments". There you define which part/s of the *.ssa script you want to parse.
BTW, MaestroSBT comes with a very informativ ReadME.

  5. Ok, I'm running winsubmux while I write, the thing is, the resultant file will be greater in size ??? If so, should I re encode it again ?? So, I must mux the subs first, the "Source range" it ???

Of course you will end with a larger filesize. Usually a .bmp subtitle is 3-20 KB. You should calculate the filesize with an advanced bitrate calculator(FitCD) before you start the conversions.
Muxing the subtitles to the MPEG is the very last conversion step. If the final filesize is too large to fit onto one CD, you need to start from the beginning, i.e. video conversion at a lower average bitrate. Also make sure, that the total bitrate does not exceed the allowed max SVCD bitrate due to the subtitles.
