SPECS:
400Mhz PentiumII
384Mb Ram
40GB Maxtor hdd 7200rpm
OS: WinXP
PROBLEM:
After having captured and mixed some DV I want to save to some compressed format for high quality backplay on my computer. I have used DIVx MPEG-4 format. However the picture is stuttered during backplay and behind the audio. This happens both when using DIVx' own player and WMP. The resolution is set to 720x576 (PAL). I want the higest possible quality and do not care so much about the file size (20min on one cd is fine for this). How do I do this?????
Is my processor too slow for this? If the CPU is too slow - why can I play DVD's in a very nice quality without stuttered picture? Do I have a problem with my software settings or do I need a faster computer for decoding the divx format in 720x576 without stuttering?
Hope someone can help. Thanks,
Ofelo
