The compressor above at the top? Vegas? I don't know how to get it to defaults, but I assume there is a way.
I have an executable for the Vegas 13 Pro trial, I tried to install it to take a look myself but apparently my trial has "expired" unfortunately.
I think I looked at it for about a week 6 or 7 years ago

  3. I have still Vegas 21 and it shows old track compressor gui. To switch back to old control from your version try to right click on the audio track header that is on your timeline left from any audio track and choose "Set Default Track Properties" and see what it shows there, if you can restore it to old gui controls.

  4. If you only changed an audio event FX chain (not a track FX), right-click the event → Event FX / Remove All to clear the plug-in stack, then re-add the stock Vegas plug-ins you want (Track EQ, Track Compressor, etc.) so you get factory defaults again. For a single plug-in that still has your tweaks, open its UI and use the preset menu → Default / Reset if the plug-in exposes one. Track-level FX lives on the track header FX button and will not come back by resetting one event. If the whole project template is wrong, File → Properties will not fix plug-ins; start a blank project or reload your custom .veg template after you save a clean one with the default audio FX you expect.

  5. I can't delete the effects, the button is not active, but as you suggested, I could install the default plug-ins but I can't find the package Vegas

  6. If Remove All / Delete is greyed out, those FX are almost certainly on the track, not the event. Click the FX button on the track header (left of the timeline) and clear or reset the chain there. Event FX only show when you right-click that one audio event.

There is no separate Magix "default plug-ins" zip you have to hunt for for the stock Track EQ / Compressor / Noise Gate. Those OFX plug-ins ship with Vegas itself. On Windows they live under the Vegas install, typically something like C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro <version>\OFX (or Program Files\Magix\...). If the Plug-In Manager list is empty or incomplete: Options → Preferences → VST Effects, confirm the OFX/VST folders, then Restart and Rescan. Also open View → Extensions / Plug-In Manager and refresh.

If Magix Hub / Magix Connect offered audio content packs with your license, install those from the Magix account downloads, then rescan. A repair install of Vegas from Magix Hub restores the stock OFX set without wiping your projects. Say which Vegas Pro version and Windows build you are on if it is still empty after a rescan.

  7. thanks
Little by little, maybe with your help I can manage
if I click the FX button on the track header, the compression finally appears

if I click on the right FX plugins have this

so the first is an event FX that applies to a single track or part of it while the second Track FX is an effect that applies to all tracks at once

first clicking on the track right click Audio Event FX there were both

  8. Glad the track FX panel was the missing piece. Short version of what you sorted out: Audio Event FX is only on that one clip or event, Track FX on the track header hits everything on that track. Once compression shows up under the track FX button you can reset or remove it there.

  9. strangely I don't know how but it solved itself in the plugins only the blue ones appear and they open the old screen that I wanted... mystery
