  2. You would have to use VirtualDub and its Rotate Filter, but AFAIK you would definitely have to re-encode.

Sure you have to reencode. The only other way I know is to rotate the monitor too.

    morning peoples.

    proctor,
yes, you can rotate image in vdub.
    * video/filters/Add and scroll down to flip horizontally or flip vertically
one of those should flip your video around - i hope.

But I got a question for you all, in reference to this.
Ok, I don't have or want to install ANY divX codecs (cause they've caused
me nothing but MPEG quality troubles from the start, in additoin to other
symtoms) However, I'd like to be able (if possible) to try encoding - oops,
I mean, re-encode some divX as source files, inside TMPG, but utilizing a
plug-in. I saw and used the plug-in that was made for those QuickTime
*.mov files and they worked ok, but I'm not interested in those.
I'm interested in try or farting around w/ some divX files (movies) that
    someone gave me at work.

Ok, in reference to above, I was thinking that if the AVI file this poster is
trying to orient is an AVI file (even though MPEG-4) (though user didn't
say, but you have ta assume) then, if vdub can open it and user can view
it, THEN, user should be able to re-SAVE it, but only as long as
user (poster) does not try and re-COMPRESS it, but instead, selects
"full processing" and proceeds to SAVE AS....

Give this a try, but I'd still like to know if their is some form of Plug-In for
TMPG that will at least allow me to open an divX file, bla, bla, bla.

    Tanx all.
