Fast Video Cataloger 10 is a video clip management software (DAM) for 64 bit Windows designed to handle thousands of video files on a standard PC. The program extracts a wall of thumbnail images representing scenes in each video. This provides a visual search through inside video files instead of watching the duration of clips. Each thumbnail doubles as a playable bookmark for that scene and can be enriched with keywords for filtering and searching. Thumbnails can easily be added, removed, or annotated with keywords.
All new AI features run locally on your own machine. No footage is uploaded and no cloud service is involved — your files never leave your computer.
New in the 10.x version of Fast Video Cataloger:
- Face recognition — add a portrait of a person and the program returns every clip they appear in.
- Built-in speech-to-text using Whisper. Transcripts are timestamped and searchable across the whole catalog.
- Automatic scene and object tagging during indexing, combinable with manual keywords.
- Built-in web server with user accounts, so a team can browse, search, tag and upload from a browser.
- Native BRAW support, including color science, white balance and exposure metadata read directly from the file.
- Rebuilt on .NET 10. German, Spanish and Swedish localizations added.
