Subtitle Edit problem - Audio to text, multilingual

Hi,
My problem is this. I have a video with both english and french audio. The srt file are only for the french audio into english.
Is there any option to do a Audio to text on only the detected english audio?

Subtitle edit has an option to merge two srt files , but the problem is how to make the english part without the french.

Not sure if I understand this correctly... What is the format (container) of the video? Does it contain two distinct audio streams, one for each language, or is it a single audio stream with parts in French and parts in English?
And can Subtitle Edit now automatically transcribe an audio stream to text? (I haven't updated it in a while...)
If it does now have that capability, and there are two distinct audio streams, but for some reason it does not allow to select a single one, it should be easy to make a temporary file with only the English stream.
If it's a single audio stream in both languages, it's much more difficult, I see no other option than to manually remove the unwanted parts.

It's a MP4 file + a srt file.

Yes , Subtitle Edit easily makes a srt file from the audio. It works perfect.

What I tried to say is that many times movies/series only have the foreign french, spanish etc audio in the srt files. But all viewers are not english, and allthough most of us know english, it's much easier to follow the dialog if the english parts are in the srt as well.

So in those cases were we have a srt with f.ex. the french dialog translated, it would be convenient to make another srt file with just the english dialog.
Then I can merge them in Subtitle Edit.

Update: I have now discovered that Subtitle Edit can be set up for automatic detection of multiple languages. So a solution could be to just to make a new complete srt with everything translated and written to the srt in english.
