I use AVC to download videos from news streams

I notice, while downloading, HUNDREDS of files like "9e582c98-5060-4097-bebb-1072ada6a686.fhls-6592-1.mp4.part-Frag97.part" which "open" and "close" rapidly, which suggests to me that the program is using disc for work files.... Hundreds of them.... Why doesn't the program test for available memory and use memory instead of disc?

Okay, if there isn't available memory THEN use disc space.... I imagine, like me, others too have LOTS of available memory.

The streaming video is being sent as a series of small files, not one big file.
