  1. Hello,

I am having issues with imported MOV files in Video Studio 2023. The MOV files are taken using an iphone 11 and should be easy to insert and use, however, this is not the case. After importing the MOV file into Video Studio the result is audio only. There is no video, just a black screen.
    Is there some process involved?

  2. Check your mov video with mediainfo to know his video codec.
Then check whether Video Studio 2023 supports this codec.

    From AI:
VideoStudio 2023 may not play iPhone .MOV files
due to incompatible HEVC/H.265 codecs, HDR formatting, or missing QuickTime components. To fix, install the HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store, convert videos using Handbrake to MP4 (H.264), or disable HDR on your iPhone.
Key Solutions to Fix iPhone MOV Issues in VideoStudio:

Install HEVC/Codec Packs: iPhone videos often use the HEVC (H.265) codec, which Windows may not natively support, requiring the HEVC Video Extensions app from the Microsoft Store.
Convert/Transcode Files: Use software like Handbrake to convert the .MOV files to a more compatible format like MP4 (H.264).
Disable HDR on iPhone: If videos appear with washed-out colors or fail to play, turn off Smart HDR in your iPhone's camera settings (Settings > Camera > Smart HDR) before recording new videos.
Rename File Extension: Sometimes simply changing the file extension from .mov to .mp4 allows the file to be imported.
Check for Corruption: If a "File Format mismatch" error occurs, the file might be corrupted or improperly downloaded.
Install QuickTime: For older versions of VideoStudio, installing QuickTime may be necessary, although this is less likely to be the issue in 2023, it is still recommended in older, yet still relevant, support documents.

For immediate, easier troubleshooting, try playing the video in a different, more versatile player like VLC media player to verify the file works.
