  2. Yes, yes there is....

Oh, you wanted to know how. Sorry. Just hook up the computer to your VCR via the TV out. Then, open the files so that they play full screen. I would suggest recording a few seconds before you start playing the video, so that the VCR doesn't cut it out. What you see on the computer & TV screen should be what your VCR is seeing, so remember to hide the mouse cursor.

  3. Yes, should be no problem.

Get a cable with a sound card jack on one end, dual rca out on the other (red/white), connect these to the audio out of your sound card and the audio in of your vcr.

Connect the tv out of your pc card to the video in of your VCR.

If you have dual screen capability, that s nice (ie you can display on both PC and output to VCR at the same time), otherwise you can hook up a tv to your vcr to check the output.

If you have one of these Geforce 2 / 3 cards with tv/out, the card drivers do not have dual screen capability, you can check out the TVTOOL utility from http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm , it enhances the functionalities of the card.

    As for outputting:

Start your VCR recording (make sure to select Video 1 as video source, or whatever name your video input goes by)
Select the clip you want to play, start it with media player, press alt-enter to switch to full screen and make sure to hide the mouse pointer in one corner. That s about it really.

You may find that the colors may be slightly washed out (depends on the quality of your tv out) or that the audio is slightly out of synch (can happen due to the fact that 2 sources are outputting audio and video separately), but normally it should not be a problem.

I output my videos from my hard disk to my tv all the time, and mind you the quality is excellent.

    Cheers

    Arnaud
