Hi, I have been looking for an video editor. I did a search on Duckduckgo and found at PCMag that one of the recommended applications is PowerDirector 365. They say it is an all around excellent video editor. Has anyone here at Videohelp used PowerDirector 365 and would you recommend it?

From my little experience with PowerDVD, I think it is too expensive and the 365 seems like a subscription model which I will never buy.
Look for a lifetime software with free updates.

I recommend looking at magix products they have several video editors that are not too expensive.

Also try Davinci the free software and see if it does what you need to do.

    Edit
I took a look at the price. It is $60 annual and $25 monthly plan.
I really hate it when software companies offer monthly subscription at such a high price just to make customers choose the annual plan.

Look in the software section. Alot of Video Editors listed. Perhaps one of the free editors will do what you want/need. I totally agree with Subtitles about the subscription BS.

Hi Subtitles, thanks for the recommendation. Would Magix's Video Delux 2026 Plus be able to import static images and videos in different resolution formats into a video?

Magix's Video Delux 2026 Plus has a free trial.
Please try it and see if it can do what you want to do.

  6. I personally find that Kdenlive can do pretty much anything and everything I need when it comes to an NLE, and it's completely free. And there are versions for Linux, Windows, and Mac, so it'll work on whatever OS you've got. Did I mention it's completely free? And if you don't like it, it's free, so you won't lose anything by trying it out.

EDIT: I've used PowerDirector, I've used Premier Pro, I've used DaVinci, I've used AVS Video Editor, I've used Vegas, I've used OpenShot, I even used Windows MovieMaker back in the day -- and you know something, any and all of these programs are pretty darn good, they'll all pretty much do what you need to do, plus more, and frankly the biggest issue as to which to use is what works best for your own personal workflow. In my own case, I'm trying to go as open-source as possible, and I like lots of tool options and my control panel in Kdenlive is more complicated than the dashboard of a 747 , but that's works for me.
