So I’ve just installed win 7 on a laptop to do some capturing with. I was expecting sd video to look much better on a 768 res screen than my main 1440 but it looked awful and pixelated. Had a quick google and found that turning off hardware acceleration in VLC helps.
Another suggestion was to set video output to OpenGL, but the video wouldn’t play so I’ve left that at automatic.
It looks better now with hardware acceleration disabled but I’m just wondering if anyone can suggest any other settings to change that may help with making SD video playback look better on a 768 resolution screen?
I’m using the latest version of VLC btw.
