I have a monitor LG 4K with DisplayPort and two HDMI connectors.
My PC has DisplayPort connector, but I have never connected it to the monitor. I have a DisplayPort cable that came with the monitor.
I want to free the HDMI connector on the monitor that connects to the PC, so that I can connect a set Top box, but I wanted to check first here if I will encounter any problems by doing this.
Thanks for any suggestions.

The only thing you need to do is when using the dp on your computer is to switch the monitor to dp mode if it doesn't switch automatically.
I think,therefore i am a hamster.
