I am using virtualdub ,win98se bt848 card and capturing 640x480.
the preview & capture alway had the field swapped when using yuy2. if set to other format eg. rgb24, yuv9, the captured field would be in the right order.
i know you can do a realtime field swap in vdub, but that increase CPU usage to an unacceptable level in my system.
p.s. i am using generic bt848 v2.3 vfw driver, wonder if that is any newer one out there ?

I have the same problem with my PCTV. Since you are using VirtualDub, simply use the Field Swap Video FILTER when frameserving. Do NOT use realtime field swap, use the FILTER!!! This way you are not interfering with your capture, but rather placing a strain on the processor later, when you are not doing a "real-time" capture.
