  1. Hello everyone,

I'm trying to download a video from the Mariinsky TV website and I'm facing an issue with the stream resolution. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

    Video URL:
Important Note: Access to the video is free, but it requires a quick user registration on the website.

    The Problem:
The web player correctly offers a 1080p quality option, and I can watch the stream at that resolution without any problems.

However, when I inspect the network traffic to find the stream source, the manifest.mpd file I can locate only lists resolutions up to a maximum of 720p. Any download tool I've tried (like yt-dlp and others) consequently only downloads the 720p version, as it's the highest quality available in that manifest.

My question is: How can I access or find the 1080p stream? It's clearly available to the player, so I suspect there might be a different manifest file, or perhaps the player uses a different method to retrieve the higher quality stream.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation with this website or platform? Any guidance on how to capture the full-resolution stream would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

    Hi notaghost,

Thank you so much for the quick reply and for providing the link and the key!

I tried to use the link with m3u8DL-RE, but unfortunately, I'm getting a Response status code does not indicate success: 404 (Not Found) error. I noticed the URL contains a user ID (user92935), so I also tried replacing that with my own user ID, but I still got the same 404 error. I might be missing a step, perhaps some required headers or cookies.

On that note, I have a follow-up question, if you don't mind. The URL you shared contains "playready" in it, which leads me to believe this is a PlayReady protected stream. This would explain why the Widevine-specific scripts I was using (like vineless and widevineproxy2) didn't detect anything.

Could you please confirm if this is indeed PlayReady DRM? Also, I'm very curious about your method. How were you able to find that specific .mpd link? Knowing the process might help me figure out why I'm getting the 404 error.

Any insight you could share would be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying to learn.

    Thanks again for your help!
