4k Video Downloader Status -- Explanation Please

The 4K Video Downloader has apparently stopped working and it is no longer able to download from YouTube.

If anyone is able to provide an explanation -- which I'd appreciate be kept as simple as needed -- then please reply at leisure.

The 4K Video Downloader has apparently stopped working and it is no longer able to download from YouTube.

The plus version is working here, but not giving all the download options; I'm only being offered 360P on one of my videos that is 1440P.

Got on to the bot at 4K. It said the latest version of Plus is 27. I then pointed out that I didn't get any notification of an update and it replied:

I apologize, but I don't have enough information in my knowledge base to answer that question. Please feel free to ask something else I might be able to help with.

You have to laugh, otherwise you'd cry.

Easy, Easy There -- I was not previously aware of yt-dlp. Besides, I was way too happy with 4K-DLoad up to now.

I have downloaded both the CLI and GUI versions, and will try them out.

Tips requested ----

1. if using just yt-dlp, what's the simplest command-line syntax for 720, 1080, 4K, etc. resolution downloads ?
2. Where to install ffmpeg

UPDATE -- 4K Download just fixed the latest issues.
