problem when I exit Full Screen Help in Potplayer

for some reason, When I exit full screen mode, the video screen flickers for a few seconds and sometimes even the command bar at the bottom of the player becomes glitched unless I enter and exit full screen mode again or minimize and restore the program

what is this problem and how do I solve it?

Flickering can occur in many players if the video file resolution and the screen resolution are not the same.

but it only happens when I exit Potplayer's full screen mode and it happens from time to time, every other time

My guess is that you have PotPlayer set up to use a full screen resolution that most closely matches the media file's properties. The change in screen resolution causes your monitor to loose sync and re-negotiate with Windows to set the Desktop resolution. Change the setting so that the resolution and refresh rate PotPlayer uses is the same as the desktop.
