  1. I am at the end of my rope....I have a Divx movie that is 576x240 and I want to encode it to SVCD compatible Mpeg2. I can't get the aspect ratio quite right...everytime, the black bars are big and the picture is very wide. This only appears when I burn it to SVCD and put it in my DVD player though...it looks OK on my pc screen...any help would be greatly appreciated.

curiousity why would you want to copy a divx to svcd? Why not just transfer it to vcd? the time to encode will be quicker, less space, and the quality will be just the same, because your source file being divx isn't the best.

  3. The source file uses a divx codec for compression only...it is a DVD rip with very good quality....I already converted to VCD and did not like the quality.
