And this link you posted, did you read it ? [Y, but did u read the first link I sent .. it lists Smart Cut as a feature]

It's a long list of issues and problems of Smart Cut from github.. not a list of features.
[The 2nd link was an issue tracker, Y.
The reason I included it because it had an explanation of how the Dev implemented Smart Cut.
The first link listed the features ..]
[the list of issues and problems are debatable, but remember, these are from 2019, we are in 2025]

Losslesscut can also concatenate file (like FFMPEG) [Y, it is an ffmpeg GUI after all]

(the Smart Cut feature in Losslesscut is STILL not reliable.. and maybe it will never be). [Disagree]

using LosslessCut for this kind of job is using the wrong (not most adequate) tool.[& Disagree]

  3. @Alwyn,

Thank you for the hint .. it was already brought to my attention by another user.

I am visually impaired [will go totally blind in few years]. My Dr suggested that I reduce
the light my eyes are exposed to, so I only use dark themes.

The color contrast from cyan on black helps me reduce the the strain on my eyes and
might potentially slow down the degradation a bit.

this is what my screen looks like:

    May I suggest ..

    - A visually impaired person may not be able to use certain themes, like light mode. but
    - A normal person can use both light/dark modes

Wouldn't make more sense to switch to dark mode & save energy [which can save the
planet from extra fossil fuel drilling, and can potentially help increase AI adoption (which
    requires a lot of energy)]

    A win/win scenario ..

P.S. I already apologized to the other user and promised to use no color going forward.
A promise I kept in my last few posts.

Once again, thank you for the hint ..

    - if having simple +2.50 reading prescription glasses, it cannot be made out as well without glasses from that three feet reading distance

Nothing wrong with dark mode, Im sure there might be conflicts with some colors in that mode as well.

Thanks, I really appreciate this! And thank you for letting us know that you are using a dark theme so we can know where you are coming from. I completely understand how certain color/brightness combinations work better/worse for different viewers, and there is no true "one size fits all" solution. But at least just using black/white (or close enough) contrast works okay for most text stuff. But of course once we factor in things like "highlighting" of URLS (in purple, orange, blue, whatever), then some color combinations just cause issues with some viewers -- and we just have to try various things for ourselves to see what might work for our own needs.

I used to work tech support at a university where they would often use the school colors on their web pages, as in using the colors for the text and background colors on some pages, and quite often they would use a light green for text -- one of the school colors -- and then put that on a white background. I don't know if I can demonstrate here what that looked like, I'll give it a shot -- and remember this is using a white background, as our site was based on a "light" theme.

This is pretty close to the color of text they chose for many articles and news items on the main webpages. I don't know about you but it makes my eyes hurt trying to read more than a few words this way.

Again, I use a light theme myself due to my own astigmatism, I don't use pure white as a background but sorta sepia -- I prefer dark text on a light background because light text on a dark backgound makes all the letters have a fuzzy outline, it gives me a headache. Anyway I suppose we all have different ways of looking at things, so that's a big reason why what looks fine on the TV screen for one person, will drive another person nuts, and that's why we have all these big loud debates on why we can't agree on the best quality video conversion in the first place!

The "frame accurate" feature of this program is experimental and did not work on any of the files I've tried so far, Therefore I wouldn't call it lossless, It cuts only at key frames which is useless, I really want to see this software developed further, I really do, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend it.
