I don't have that many Blu Ray discs, but when I tried recently to play a disc on my PC, I was stunned by how expensive some software players are.
VLC is supposed to play blu rays but it had error messages about the need to add some drivers. Also PotPlayer gave me errors.
In the meantime I have ripped the disc using MakeMkv and used VLC to watch it, which works quite well, but it takes time to rip and storage space.
Also installed Leawo, GOM player and others without much success.
Anyway I would appreciate suggestions for a truly free Blu Ray Disc player. Thanks.

Usually "drag and dropping" the BDMV Folder from the disk on the player should work with any video player..
You can also open any video stream (the *.m2ts files) in the STREAM subfolder directly (each one is a part of the movie or an episode of a tv series or some other video on the disc)
The only video player that has been specifically thought for playing BD is Leawo, I think: it's offered as "free".. and it should support also Menus (and it would be the only player capable of that).. but I never tried it, so I don't know if it's good or not (or really free) -
Thanks for the suggestion.
I mentioned Leawo in my post. It didn't work.
Still I would like to try a blu ray disc player.
