For a customer of mine, I've done DVD authoring in the past for him (DVD Lab) with no issues. But his new content is 1080p.
It's two simple videos, both put together from multiple pictures and videos in shotcut and exported in h264 29.97fps ac3 stereo
My first time using multiavchd, and after some hassle with avisynth I was able to successfully transcode the videos and end up with no errors (though they were in .h264/ac3 so I don't think transcoding was necessary, I ended up with the same disc error anyways so I decided to go ahead and do it). Also thumbnails were not working. I kind of wish multiavchd had an option for a text-only menu/chapters cause this guy doesn't want anything complex
After messing around with windows native burning, getting the error from both players saying the disc is unreadable and might not be finalized, I used CDburnerxp (haven't in years, but I can't find my old nero 9).
now the data is only about 2gb and are burned on DVD+RW's for testing (100% complete wipe, not quick), and one of his BD-R disks. Burned in UDF 2.6 (once in 2.5 just for testing), finalized disc and data checked. Same error
Two different samsung bd players, one from around 2018, and one newer (~2022?) but fairly cheap (BDP-BX370)-Both with up to date software.
I did look up the folder structure for blu rays and I am copying the right folders to the root of the disc.
Same error. Any idea?
TIA

I have been using MultiAVCHD for almost 16 years. I have used a wide variety of different brands of Blu-Ray and DVD players. However, now my workflow has changed under Windows 11 due to something I probably have misconfigured or misinstalled in MultiAVCHD so I primarily use it for authoring. The assets I use are already converted to Blu-Ray complaint (x264 1920x1080, AC-3 audio and subtitles). Once the assets are added and configured for playback I let MultiAVCHD compile the Blu-Ray folder.

I have always burned them to media with ImgBurn, whether it was DVD, AVCHD or Blu-ray, without any problems.

Yeah that is what I do, the blu ray button
AVCHD isn't in the root right (I never put it there)? I actually don't have a burner on the compilation computer so I have to copy the AVCHD folder to a flash drive and copy it to my shop computer that has a burner.
have you ever issues using DVD+RW's (or even used them). Still even at that the BD-R should have played. All UDF 2.5/2.6
Yeah I had it in a BD compliant format but thought it needed to be transcoded anyways perhaps to fix this error, which didn't make any difference.
