Hello everybody,

I am glad to be back to the knowledgeable community and hope to receive advice how to fix an annoying and lasting problem. The sound has disappeared from my media system. The movies; music or live stream go from the PC through AVR to the speakers with no sound. The setup is PC (Radeon RX 6600) > Denon X2800H > Samsung Monitor and > two Klipsch RF-3 speakers.

I discovered this when trying to calibrate the speakers. I’ve checked all physical connections on the Denon’s rear panel and all the terminals and jumpers on both speakers. The Windows Settings show the Master Sound (running bar) is OK. The output device is Denon. If I press the Info button on the Denon remote, it shows Signal: PCM; Sound: Stereo. It also shows all the possible speakers and my FR and FL are highlighted. In the Active Speakers section it shows only the Active Speakers and those are the FR and FL.

All devices are connected with certified UH Speed HDMI cables 48 Gbps, 8K, Dynamic HDR. I tried various HDMI settings ON/OFF like HDMI Control; ARC but no result. But if Denon is off, the signal from PC goes directly to the monitor speakers (Denon’s pass through is ON) with the sound.

Eventually, I’ve made full factory reset on Denon but nothing has changed. When setting up the speakers after the reset, Denon generates a test - sends audio signal to the speakers. But I don’t hear the sound though it should be loud enough. I hear (only when I am really focused on it) a very subtle click from the left speaker.

I am a non-technical person. If additional information is required, please advise and I’ll provide it.
