Hi
I have a spare car reverse camera that I want to convert to a inspection (Endoscope) , have connected it to my laptop USB via a EasyCap vid convertor, but am not getting anything on the screen, can a laptop USB be used has a video input device like a car infotainment unit ?.
Have connected them to a 12v supply !
cheers

A laptop USB port can’t take analog video directly like a car infotainment system does, so the EasyCap is the part that actually has to do the conversion. As long as the EasyCap is working properly, the laptop should see it as a webcam-style video source. If you're getting nothing on the screen, it’s usually either the capture device not being recognized by Windows or the wrong video format being selected. Car reverse cameras typically output either PAL or NTSC composite video, so it’s worth trying both formats in your capture software

You would need to connect the camera only without those wireless modules. Use vdub or AmarecTV as a capture software, OBS, VLC should also work for display purposes.
