  1. So I've been capturing and converting AVI files to MP4 for over a month now and things have been going well, that was until I updated my Windows 10 laptop and suddenly all the compression codecs I had in VirtualDub2 disappeared.

I've tried installing codec packs to no avail, is it the version of VD2 I'm using or something else?

All of these encoding codecs should be built in except the one highlighted, which is a system codec.

Those are the same in the original Vdub 2 as well.

If you can't get anywhere, try resetting VDub as per my guide on my site, at the bottom of this page.

Extract a fresh copy to a new folder and retry, and follow Alwyn's instructions if necessary
