  1. Hi everyone,

I am having trouble learning Authoring Works 7 software. I used to use Adobe Encore DVD, but my license is no longer able to be registered. I have the trial for Authoring Works for 6 more days and will buy it if I can figure out the menu options. This forum is the most helpful, but I'm still struggling with a custom menu.

Here's what I am trying to create for the single menu:
Autoplay/First Play = the static menu (not a video).
I want a custom background image for the menu, but all buttons should be text (not thumbnails).
All videos have chapter points, but I do NOT want separate menus for the chapters. The chapter points are only there so the viewer can skip chapters while watching the video, I do not want them to be able to select chapters.

The menu should have 5 buttons:
    1. ''Play All'' which is a playlist for all video files back to back listed below
    2. ''Part 1'' plays the first video file
    3. ''Awards'' plays the second video file
    4. ''Part 2'' plays the third video file
    5. ''BTS'' plays the fourth video file

End action of each video should go to the main menu except with the "Play All" button- that button should act as a playlist and should play each video one after another- at the end of the final video (or end of the "play list") it would go back to the main menu.

I can provide a screenshot if needed.

    How do I do this?

    Thank you!

  2. I've always found the best option with TAW is to choose a plain template and then modify elements as needed.

Go into menu and choose a Template (hit next)
On the Menu Structure Selection page choose Top and Track Menus (hit next)
On the DVD-Video Playback Settings choose:
Disc Insertion Action: Display Top Menu
Track Playback End Action: Display Top Menu (hit finish)
Use the Page Edit Section to modify the look (optional) This is where you can relabel the names of the links.
Use the Link Edit Section to modify links (optional)

What I've described will give you what you described.
