  1. Are there any known cases of streaming services using invisible watermarks to track users?

Be it big and international platforms or small and local only ones.

What I have in mind is like that those platforms would deliver a unique version of the video to each account. This way, if the video is leaked, the leaker can be tracked back to their account.

Are there known methods for detecting whether a platform is doing that?

    Thanks.

  2. Yes, that is possible. Search about forensic watermarking.

Thanks, though I am not asking if it is possible. I assume it is. The question is, if there are any known cases and which platforms these are. Like does Netflix do it? Does a local streaming platform from Poland do it? From Chile maybe? Who does it?

  4. While I’m not aware of any cases involving streaming websites, there was an incident in India where a man was caught using forensic watermarking.

this don't have any link with on-demand things, they got him by positioning the angle of the camera, frame etc.
