    Hello everyone,

Problem: i have a Panasonic ub424 blu ray player. Work fine.
And a Sony S1700 blu ray player work fine.

    Question: i have 2 disc’s BD-R 25GB and BD-R 50GB DL.
I want burn some private vids on the BD-R 50GB DL and play them on my Panasonic ub424.
They are .MP4 that i burned with burnaware.
Ub424 read the disc but cant see any file.
Sony S1700 see the files and can play them great.
But… BD-R 50GB seems a problem for both of them.
Ub424 read the disc but no files can be found.
Sony S1700 read also the disc but thats the the problem..keeps loading and loading.

    What do i wrong?
Do i need convert mp4 to mkv? Other software?
Would anyone help me with this?

  2. Maybe your drives can not read an .mp4 or .mkv burned to a blu ray.
That is not standard blu ray format.

You might try burning your blu ray discs with IMGBurn.

Or you may need to convert the .mp4 to the standard blu ray format.
    Then burn that.

yep, mp4 and mkv aren't part of the blu ray spec.

you may be able to play those from a usb drive. if your players has those.

or you'll have to convert the files to the standard blu ray file structure/format. that stand alone blu ray players can read from a disc.

have you had problems with bd-r 50 gb discs before ? or just when putting mp4's on them ?

Shutter Encoder(free) allows you to convert video file(s) to Blu-ray format with authoring (ready to burn) thanks to tsMuxeR.

The bitrate is automatically adjusted for a 25GB Blu-ray.

    sorry for the delay.

this might be a back woods way to do it.

    but i use bd rebuilder.

the method is press file--->import--->video files(mkv,mp4 etc.) and keeping the box checked for build bd structure.

properly not the naturalist or best way.

but since i so seldom do this. and i'm familiar with bd rebuilder. this works for me !
