hello guy im converting a lot of flac files for my mum to listen to in her car as her car stereo supports aac .m4a and sound much better then mp3 at the same bitrate

but what i wanted to know im converting to 128kb
but the file size is more then what it should be converted to 128kbps constant bitrate

i used mpc and it says under general for bitrate
Overall bit rate mode : Constant
    Overall bit rate : 156 kb/s

    but under audio it says
    Bit rate mode : Constant
    Bit rate : 128 kb/s

im very confused i would get it if i used vbr or abr that it would show a higher overall bitrate but im using cbr

never mind i worked it out now it turned out it was the cover image in the audio files making them higher file size as each m4a file had a cover in m4a file that was like 300kb some albums up to like 2mb almost 3mb so i used Mp3tag to bulk remove the images

    now files are correct size

plus all these albums already had the album art in the folders that will show up when m4a files are played
so no need for every m4a file to have cover art
