Unshackle - Modular Movie, TV, and Music Archival Software

Unshackle v2.0.0 was released, so I've updated the services and fixed the bugs I was aware of. Make sure to uv sync Unshackle to install the latest version. As for the Channel4 error mentioned above, I can't reproduce it. It's working without any issues on my end, so might've been just a temporary problem.

I've also added 10Play and 7Plus. A lot of weird shit had to be done for these services, so there might be a few bugs here and there.

Some general notes:

• Use 'unshackle dl SERVICE --help' to get information about each service.
• Use github issues to report bugs and suggestions.
• When reporting a bug, please include title/URL and error output. I won't hunt down or guess whatever it is you're trying to download.
• VPN/proxy issues is not something I can do anything about.

Please also note that I'm not the dev of Unshackle, so I can't help with any issues. I'm not really using it myself on a regular basis, I'm just making these services for others to use since it's the only public and competently developed downloader out there at the moment. For any bugs and/or suggestions, I'd recommend checking their github or discord channel.

SBB just added Australia SBS. I have tried SEVEN and it working well for me so far. Be warned there is PAL speed up in some TV series such as "The Irrational". This is not the fault of the service or Unshackle it is just how the channel deals with certain North American Shows. It has a remedy when it comes to playing via VLC:

This remedy works well in VLC and for me corrects the issue. This happens for certain North American shows on the UK services as well. But regardless Unshackle is terrific as are the services. That you stabbedbybrick. Thank you also the developer of Unshackle. Also thank you to the poster earlier in the thread who showed me how to deal with Pal Speedup.

I tested out SBS and did the --list-titles and --list -w S01E01 and it revealed just four video files, no audio no subtitle. Anyway I did a download and the audio and subtitle were in the video file. So it is different then other services in that aspect. It is terrific service. So don't be concerned as your audio is captured at the same as the video. Thank you to stabbedbybrick for using your skills to develop these services and thank you Sparky for the evolution of Unshackle building on the terrific Devine. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to help those of us who don't quite grasp things right away but with your guidance we get there.

Additional Information: I had the default ariac2 as I hadn't set the downloader for SBS. I tried it with N_m3u8DL-RE and I am getting twice the download speed and hopefully the VPN stability will be the same.

I decided to give TEN a try. I have added my credentials to the appropriate spot in the Unshackle.yaml I hadn't added a downloader and apparently it wants N_m3u8DL-RE as its downloader so I went to the appropriate spot in my Unshackle.yaml and added in the line:

# TEN: n_m3u8dl_re

Then I saved the .yaml but I am still getting this:

I did a unshackle env check just in case and it reveals I have N_m3u8dl-RE installed and I checked my binaries folder and it is there.

So I was wondering if someone else would do a check to see if they have this error with TEN. With Ozivine I had no success with TEN it was like BBC very adept at sniffing out my VPN and rejecting it. However since SEVEN worked so well for me last night I thought might as well give TEN at try. With Ozivine and seven I would get an episode downloaded and try another but the second would fail most of the time. So I would delete what was in the temp disconnect the VPN and give it another try and it would usually get that episode. Last night I was able to get a whole season of a show with no rejection of the VPN even after three hours of Unshackle working away at it.

Thanks in advance and please appreciate I used my skills with that line of code to try to remedy the error and it didn't seem to work. So any guidance is appreciated as I probably have yet more to learn.

Thank you for your kindness for your guidance and I trust others learn along with me so I thank you for them as well. I did as you wrote and it has fixed the problem and it is downloading at the full speed that my DSL allows me which is something new for an Australian service. I will study and test the mapping you posted in your follow up post. I have been using N_m3u8dl-RE for TUBI and several other services. But I will test and see what this mapping gives me in terms of speed and VPN stability. Thank you once again for all that you do to guide us in this thread and others.

I tested TEN and the download was a success. The episode has commercials in it but one can edit those out with LosslessCut. I am impressed by the speed of the download and one can live with commercials. It is terrific that this and other services have been added as of late. I remember with Pluto TV that stabbedbybrick back when were using Freevine that removing commercials resulted in lip sync issues and he had to delve in and find the cause which was bumpers.

Tubi has apparently started adding 1080p on some titles, so the service has been updated to include it.

It's only available as H.265 though, so use '-v H.265' to request those tracks.
