  1. When streaming videos from YouTube in PotPlayer (Open -> Open URL), videos with the auto-dub option, which translates them into different languages with speech synthesis, always use the audio stream in my native language despite my preferring the original English.

I've read posts talking about setting preferred languages but they were referring to the offline playback of video files, not streaming from URL.
I've tried Preferences -> Audio -> Language/Sync/Other and typing into the Preferred languages field things like "en eng english" or "English (United States)" but it has no effect.

My operating system is set to English and so is my YouTube account, but somehow PotPlayer detects Polish.

  2. Well, after submitting the above post, it took me less than 5 minutes to figure out the solution. If you have a URL-streamed video, the pop-up list of available video quality streams in the bottom-right corner includes AUDIO streams as well. First choose your audio stream, then choose the video stream and you have your video with the original audio.

The funny thing is I discovered this because I was investigating somebody else's completely unrelated issue
