    Real Audio files? Audacity with the ffmpeg import/export library installed can open them.

    VLC can also play & convert a.rm file to .mp3.
    They are Real Player files.
    I had Real Player installed a long time ago.
    ,rm files are not audio files they are a pointer to an audio file.
    Sort of like .cda files on a CD.
    As davexnet posted Audacity can also do the conversion.
    Probably a better conversion than VLC.
