The Sony RDR-HX900 DVD won’t play the dvd discs

The Sony RDR-HX900 DVD that I have won’t play the dvd discs. Tried few discs and will eject any dvd. I used disc cleaner but the same thing. Any similar issue experienced?

That's a recorder. They die MUCH sooner than a regular player.
