    No you can not. There is a JADEPSX VCD Player out there, but it misleads everyone. You can not play VCD or SVCD on the PS2. What you can do is re-encode the VCD and SVCD to their PSS format (which is MPEG2), but is a hassle, a waste, and a decrease in quality. Supposely we have another player coming out that can play MPGs and Divx files (not that old one, another one).
