  1. I cut several short clips from a video and want to join them together

I named the clips "Clip 1" "Clip 2" "Clip 3" etc, all in the correct order

But Avidemux doesn't combine them in the correct order. Often the first clip is last. Other times it seems random. I've tried naming the files in various different ways but I can't understand why it doesn't just process them in alphabetic order?

    Search Comp PM
    Drag clip1 into Avidemux. File/Append -select clip 2. File/Append - select clip 3, etc.

Or, if you're selecting multiple by holding down the shift key, select clip1, then clip 2, then clip 3.
    Drag clip 1 into Avidemux

  3. You can also use clever Ffmpeg-GUI.
Start the app, click join, drag all clips into the grid, order them as you like and click join.
    Done.
